Westmorland Green Slate
Elterwater is a pale green stone, often highlighted by contrasting markings which emphasise its natural origins. Characteristically thick with a pronounced texture it is regularly chosen for heritage projects.
Randoms are supplied in random lengths and widths, the width being never less than half the length. Randoms are ordered by reference to the maximum and minimum required lengths - for example, 460mm to 225mm (18" to 10"): they must be sorted on-site by length and are laid to courses which diminish from eaves to ridge.
Samples have been tested in accordance with, and comply with, the relevant sections of EN12326-1:2014.
