Dupont Airguard Reflective Layer

Dupont Tyvek Airguard is a vapour control layer for roofs, ceilings and walls providing a barrier to air movements. It is a 100% air tight vapour control layer featuring a metallised surface with a very low emissivity, which significantly boosts thermal insulation in a building.

This strong 100% airtight vapour barrier is specially designed to give maximum thermal performance. AirGuard Reflective provides a good way to improve U-values in buildings. A highly vapour and water-resistant low emissivity internal vapour barrier, it considerably reduces interstitial condensation as well as improves thermal efficiency by reflecting up to 95% of radiant heat.

Application:

• Installed onto the internal side of a roof or wall system with the reflective foil side facing into the room.
• The membrane may be laid either horizontally or vertically to suit.
• Installing one of the Dupont Airguard AVCL generics will keep your insulation and wall structure dry and can reduce energy consumption
• Due to this regulation the requirements on the energy performance of buildings have been increased. Due to air leakage from the building, interior heat losses through convection can occur. Choosing the right air and vapour control layer (AVCL) will help create a thermally efficient, condensation-free structure.
