IKO Glass Fibre Tissue
Generally used as the separating membrane for use beneath mastic asphalt flooring, paving and certain roofing applications.
It allows a free lateral passage for hot air and moisture vapour released by the substrate during the application of the hot mastic asphalt and also acts as a long term vapour release layer.
IKO Glass Fibre Underlay is loose laid with minimum 50mm laps directly above the substrate.
On substrates such as Over backgrounds that can be considered to be at risk of bleeding through, then 2 layers of IKO Glass Fibre Underlay can be laid so as to isolate the problem.
