CMS 1816D Propane Flashback Arrestor

This flashback arrestor, for use with propane gases, is an important safety device. The flashback arrestor helps to prevent the movement of propane from travelling back up the supply line, whilst also preventing a flame from travelling down into the gas equipment or pipes. When a flashback arrestor is in place, it provides extra security and safety measures to help minimise the risk of explosions and injury to the user and any surrounding buildings, material and people. Flashback arrestors are most commonly used in oxy-fuel welding and cutting. A propane flashback arrestor generally contains a non-return valve, to ensure the gas only flows one way, and a flame arrestor, which prevents flashback and cools the flame to below the temperature required to ignite the gas.
